Hello Lycoris! You could improve the scene by strengthening its visual hierarchy and gaining better control over the values. The illustration would have much stronger contrast if the magical glow were smaller and more localized, making the fox the center of the magic rather than the light itself. That's why I emphasized the fox's silhouette and kept the brightest values concentrated only in that area. This also lets you group and control the surrounding values more effectively by darkening the rest of the scene, creating a much clearer value structure. Another thing I'd recommend is pushing the color palette further toward cool tones. In night scenes, it's generally more effective to keep most of the environment within a blue color range. Avoid making the majority of the scene warm. Reserve the warm oranges and yellows for the magical light around the fox, while keeping everything else cooler. Notice how the scene feels much more unified, and the contrast becomes far more effective once the values are grouped more intentionally. Thanks for sharing your work! | Artwod Feedback
