Great drawing i think just push your darks a bit more also the darkest places on a face are the eye nostril and mouth area. also a reverse gradient dark against the light side of the face will make it pop! Great job on proportions and expression.

20min portrait. Largely the same problem, I can’t place value and in particular I feel the hair levels down the overall drawing. I also don’t feel like that looks like a closed eye, so it might be a problem with structure as well.

So, did this for this year's Chroma Corps assignment yesterday, and as proud as I am of this piece, I really did not receive the feedback I thought I would. I know my weak point is presentation, but I have also always struggled with both perspective and colors. I feel like the alligator and capy could've been in a more dynamic angle on more intense perspective, but I have no idea how to get it done.... Any help and ressources would be so much appreciated 👏
