Hello rei !
Really cool artwork. You are right, the bunny catch the eyes. M
I would adress that by playing with the light settings.
For the moment you have a basic cold light above the frame. The bunny and foreground are touch by it and have the same values as the figure.
I tried some stuff with a more focused light like a spotlight above it or a doorframe lighting the seems (for the doorframe you will need to reworks all core/cost shadows :/ )
I would also accentuate the contrast between light area in focus and dark area outside by putting more warm color in the shadow area.
What do you think ? I hope it helps | Artwod Feedback
WIP. What bothers me the most right now is how the bunny plushie in BG is stealing attention. I do want to have huge plushies in BG but I am struggling to incorporate them into the painting. I am not sure whether it is composition or a value issue. Maybe the 2 big black buttons are the issue since they are of the similar size as charscter's head but I am not sure what I could do there. Maybe it is something else. Spent hours on this already so need fresh eyes on it. Thank you.
I didn't mention it before, but another option is to convey the focus through detail vs simple contrast.
It don't seem to be your style but you could simplify the plushies: only one color for the eyes, one for the fur, one for the shadow. Less detail, less clean line.
This would tell the audience: don't look too much here.

Hey man, thanks a lot (especially since the site wouldn't cooperate qq)! It was really helpful. I will try to incorporate it. And yes, the plan is to have light shine from above.
