I think you're on your way for developing that painterly yet realistic style you talked about. When you're heavy on storytelling and wondering what to refine, look at what needs refining in the first place (most of it doesn't). So depending on what the underlying story is here, which elements in this scene need to grab more attention? Of course, I don't know what the backstory was here, I just see two characters, one looks like he's a staff member at the facility, one isn't, and maybe something went wrong and they're trying to figure it out together. So, knowing this, I would seperate the figures visually to make it look more like they've only just arrived to the scene, and I would try to make their poses a little bit more engaging. So depending on the story: are they looking for something, are they talking to one another, how do hese characters know each other and how can we show it in their pose as well? Characters often guide the feeling we want the viewer to have, so if you can define that feeling, you can define the visual storytelling. Thanks for submitting this piece! | Artwod Feedback
