Focus on 3D shapes and then you can slowly add details in based on the established solid shapes. Personally, it didn't look like a hamster to me but that's just me. If it's really an issue for you, I recommend just adding a tail to imply that it's a seal more. Other than that. just add cast shadows, highlights and some crumbs in the background to just have more interest in the overall picture.

for some reason I cant really detail on my drawings without making it all look randomly placed and I showed this to my friend who likes seals and he said it looked more like a hampster than a seal and I think the reason it looked like that was because of how short the face was but I just couldnt fix it no mater what I did
