Hi there, If you ever find yourself stuck, or are unsure about how something should look, use reference. Reference is your friend. The ultimate goal of course is to be able to do this from imagination by understanding form, but if you’re struggling to recognize or understand the form then you need to go back and refresh yourself. Don’t be afraid to repeat earlier lessons too. Repetition is an important part of learning. I’ve added a reference sheet of different noses. You might find it useful to trace the simple box shape over them as I’ve done on a few of them. Then you can try drawing the box shape on a clean canvas and then refine the shapes. You seem to be struggling a bit with the placement of the nostrils and the nostril wings. This is where reference will help you. You don’t have to copy it but it will help inform your decision making. To level up your skills you can start using reference less and less as you become more comfortable with the basic shapes. Also, you can draw a nose from reference and then draw the nose again but from different angles. Another great exercise is to start having fun with it and change up the proportions and overall shape of the nose. Making them long or short, sharp or flat, hooked or small. Hopefully that helps, let me know if you need anymore help. | Artwod Feedback
