This scene lends itself well to having mostly darker values, while reserving the highest values for the energy effects. Right now, the background values aren't helping to emphasize that. The character is what's most important here, not the background. Because of that, you could darken the background overall, especially around the edges, while leaving the structures in the middle slightly more visible. Notice how keeping those structures a bit lighter creates a dark-against-light contrast (the dark hair against the slightly lighter background), which helps the character silhoutte stand out. You could also increase the saturation of the blue tones to create a stronger color contrast and avoid the image feeling too pale. Since blue is the dominant color in the scene, it will naturally push the skin tones slightly toward purple, which can help make the colors feel more vibrant.
