Hello! I really like the idea of the character resting on top of the dragon. That said, the dragon's structure is the main area that needs more attention. Remember that a strong illustration always starts with a solid base. I'd recommend spending more time on the drawing itself, and whenever you run into something you're not yet comfortable drawing, take some time to study it first. Since I believe that your theme leans toward an Eastern aesthetic, an Eastern-style dragon would fit the concept really well. Gather reference images and study how they're constructed. If your goal is to design your own dragon, I'd also recommend studying real animals first, especially reptiles, since dragons are heavily inspired by them. And, of course, focus on learning and practice form manipulation. I'd also encourage you to study materials and textures. If your intention is for the dragon to be made of smoke, look at real-life references of smoke. Smoke can behave very differently depending on what's burning; it can be dense or wispy, opaque or almost transparent.
