Hey there! Very nice! It actually looks a lot like the character! :) There are just a few things you could adjust to make the likeness even closer, mainly three aspects: 1. The shape of the face. Notice that the sides of his face aren’t completely straight; they curve slightly outward. 2. The shape of the beard. The beard isn’t rounded, but rather more triangular. I imagine it’s triangular because he’s an evil character... I’m not familiar with the anime, but triangular shape language is commonly used to communicate danger or evil. So there’s quite a big difference between drawing a beard with rounded edges and one with sharper, more pointed shapes. 3. The width of the nose. In the references, the nose is wider and also has a slightly more triangular shape. Hope this helps! :)

Been trying to draw Blackbeard and i keep losing the likeness somewhere. His face in the anime has a lot of weird shapes that i dont know how to simplify. Would like some feedback on the portrait and proportions. trying to learn character construction, share my art progress and make this part of my regular art workout
