Hi, first of all lovely sketch, love it's energy. Here is an overpaint. I would suggest to group the details and create some areas of rest for the design readability. Most natably I have changed dagger shape and hand position to make the composition less teense. I have an idea for his armour to be a rusted metal with some steel elemenrs shaped like fishes, or sculpted from wood with metal elements. All is connected with tripple rope, giving thhe vibe his is entangled within a fishing net. Cleaned face, arms, chest areas. in a sense to better indicate anatomical forms rather than flood it with tiny detail in the same scale. I think with some organiznig you can turn these piece around, keep up the good work!
Your suggested editing is good, but I thought the hook dagger was more unique to the character, but you fixed the hand position much better. To the Artist of the piece: You have a second dagger in the other hand that could be switched to the second dagger tucked in his belt, making him wield those unique hook daggers and a force to be reckoned with. Lastly, feathering as you had it was sparse, but if you still want to decorate him with feathers, perhaps have them in his hair, down the back of his head, and/or along his shoulders like a mantle. Hope this helps.
