Hey! this concept is incredibly fun. The anglerfish cannon is such a creative idea, and the little monkey sidekick holding the bomb adds so much great personality to the piece! You have a really strong imagination for character building. To help you push the design and readability even further, I did a paintover: Lighting and Volume: The original lighting was a bit uniform, which can sometimes flatten the image. I added stronger directional light and some brighter highlights. This helps separate her from the background and gives much more 3D volume to the forms, especially on the metallic cannon barrel and her fur collar. Costume Details & Storytelling: I added a few extra nautical elements to her outfit—like the fishing net on her belt, a striped under-layer, and letting her red hair flow out wildly. Breaking up the large areas of solid blue and brown with these varied textures gives her more of a rugged, weathered pirate vibe. Cuteness & Weapon Styling: To lean into the fun, lighthearted energy of the piece, I tweaked the anglerfish cannon to make the design a bit cuter! Rounding out the shapes, and empathize those comedic "X" eyes, and the glass lantern, the weapon its own playful personality that matches perfectly with your monkey sidekick. You have a fantastic base here and a really fun illustrative style. Keep up the awesome work! | Artwod Feedback
