It feels like it could be made more dramatic/the lighting more clearer by making the shadows covering the front more darker. Also the lighting on the gold could be made better by also following the darker lighting. The lighting on the gold feels all over the place rather than cohesive and not following the light source ( from the back. I did a quick paint over to illustrate what I mean but it’s not perfect either.

Anime skirts arent as easy to draw as they look

I’ve been trying to sketch anime skirts but the folds dont make sense around the hips. They look like random triangles. I think my form and proportions are the problem. Using pencil.
