Hi, cool demon design, I like his pose and gesture. Here is my overpaint. In my opinion main issue with the background is that it is not following tha same perspective as the character. I have pasted a photo of a japanese water temple, to indicate what I mean, by adding proper scale and object in perspective the illustration starts to read right. Also made soem Lily sketch, you can think about them as salamis on NewYork style pizza, rather than flat objects. Lastly the values, even though you chose a dark environemtnt I think that secondary warm light could be stroinger, to separate character froim water and bring more local color to the plants and water, if you make shadow values of water and plants closer to it's values in light, character will recive more contrast. Hope it will give you some ideas and help move the piece forward, keep up the good work!

Hey guys, ive been working on this on and off for quite a while now, really struggling with the environment, especially the lilypads. cant get them to blend into the environment. would really love to hear if anyone has some good insight on that matter or any other. again, my main struggles here are the environment at this point, on the character I just made a quick render for now so it would fit in the scene a bit more, but any feedback is welcome. Thank you!
