Hello! I think the big issue here isnt your drawing abilities, its more your concepting. ALWAYS try your best to not hide hands, even if theyre not the best hands, they add a TON of expression. Your initial gesure was strong as well, so I just went with that, and just pushed it a little more. I think you should try spending some time before a drawing, actively deciding WHAT your drawing, and what the character is doing/feeling/ect, before you actually draw, I think this will help you a lot deciding on how YOU want the audience to feel about your characters. What are you trying to convey to the viewer with your drawing is always important to answer, and always something you need to think about with EVERY decision. Its a lot I know, so keep it small, keep the ideas broad, then you can get more specific. I hope this helps! (sorry the redline isnt the most clean!
