I think by just moving the legs apart a little, it will help add some gesture to the pose while keeping it calm. Also, adding some details to the clothes will help sell the perspective. I hope this helps :)

I’m having trouble with correcting the anatomy, especially the hands and arms. I think for a reserved character like Dan Heng, the posing shouldn’t be too dramatic, or have an extremely dynamic pose, but I still want something that has a little bit of flare or ‘oomph’ feeling to it. Any help or suggestions would be lovely!!
