It looks like that because you made left eye much bigger and less rounded than the right one. For eyes remember that irises are always about the same height. The distance between eyes (see A) should be roughly the same as eye width. For help draw line to indicate middle of the face and then build upon it. Eyes are spheres, so you can start with a sphere and then stylize it. I also fixed neck since it is normally not completely straight but tilted (see B).
