idk if more line detail is the fix, maybe try one clean outer contour around the head and body first, then vary the inner lines so the character reads clearly before polishing.

I tried to reproduce as faithfully as possible an image of the Palico character design from Monster Hunter. I would like to get opinions and advice on the quality of my lines and on the overall coherence of the drawing. I've only been drawing for 50 days.

I also second sage, Lines look good to me. but for coherence if you want it to read clearly do all values or none. You would need a third darker value to make it pop more and read like your ref. If you just have that mid tone alone it could look weak.

idk if it needs the full set of values yet, maybe one darker shape under the head and along the body so it pops like the ref while the mid tone still holds the rest.

maybe keep the mid fur and push one darker shape under the chin and belly so the head pops without flattening the whole cat
