I left the scarf because it already looks great from the other redraw, but I wanted to go over the expression a bit. Your expression already conveys sadness; now it's up to you how far you want to push it. I would make the eyes bigger and rounder. Then I moved the mouth and the nose a bit to give more of a pouty face. I also added more highlights/tears. I would look at some references of exaggerated sad expressions (especially in really stylized cartoons). Great job!

So this is going to end up being an emote for the discord my friends and I use for digimon D&D. I’m having a lot of trouble with the scarf, as it's really hard for me to drape it on something with such small shoulders. I would also really appreciate tips on how to emphasize/exaggerate the emotion/expression. Since it's going to be a small emote I need the expression to be readable at that size. Don't worry about the body, that will be taken out so I can zoom in on the head for the actual emote, I just needed it there to try and help position things better.

Hello! First off, digimon d&d sounds amazing where do I sign up- secondly, I think the scarf is a pretty easy fix, just make sure it looks chunky enough so it indeed still reads on a small format and then try to have the one end of the scarf fold over the other part like this, to show it's been wrapped/tied. Hope this helps, have fun with it!! c:
the wrapped scarf in the paintover helps a lot, maybe keep the front fold a bit thicker than the hanging end so it still reads when lopmon is tiny and the sad face stays first

maybe push the mouth and brow shapes a little farther to sell the emotion, then wrap the scarf in one clear S curve so it reads as a soft fold instead of a flat band.
I don't exactly understand what you mean by an s curve. Do you mean like having it hang more loosely?
