Hi there! First off, you can absolutely tell it's an elf and the colours are far from dull! I think you did a great job on both those fronts, but if you wanted to improve it still, maybe some clear anime-like lineart would really help! Some parts of the portrait feel like they are drawn from the front, and others more in a 3/4 view, so about the eyes: depending on whether you want to draw them from the front or a 3/4 angle will be different. With a frontal pose you can keep them symmetrical like you have done here, but in a 3/4 pose, you'll have to make one of the eyes a lot narrower, bending it around the shape of the head. For now, I think focussing on making your lines all very readable first will be a big step up! If you're using coloured pencils a fineliner will work really well on top of it, or a very thin marker. Keep up the good work!! :D

drawing anime characters, specifically the design should look better and more unique and more anime looking.

My anime sketch looks okay. You can't tell the character design is an elf. Not sure what more to add, or what approach to take with the eyes. How can i make the colors less dull. What else would make it better? Feedback appreciated. Using colored pencils.

idk if more detail is the thing, maybe push one big silhouette change first like a taller head shape or quieter outfit so the red and green read more anime without filling every area the same
