idk if the eyes are the whole problem, they sit a bit high and close to the nose so the tilt reads stronger. maybe lightly draw the eye line across the whole face first, then place both eyes on it and match the bottom curves. the hair and neck already look solid

I’m finding it a little difficult to make both eyes look proportional. They look pretty off because they don’t feel balanced. What should I work on if I want to draw anime eyes that look more natural and appealing?

skin tone

I can't seem to get the skin tone right. I'd like to play around more with the shadows and highlights by mixing in a little more color—not just black and white—but I have no idea how to do that.
