I love your stylization, your lines are clean and the character's face is super appealing! The scene also intrigues me, because she looks like a super sweet girl, but is at the same time holding the Chibi character like a puppeteer.
The eyes feel wrong because they are facing the viewer directly, despite the fact that the character is looking to the left. Next time you draw a face, ask yourself: are all the features facing the right direction? All I did was slightly shrink her left (my left) eye. Let me know if it looks better to you!
The hand, I would encourage you to try to fix it yourself! References are ALWAYS your best friend. Sometimes a photo isn't precise enough, that's why I, personally, rely a lot on 3D models or Magic Poser for studying. Again, for studying! I wouldn't suggest using traced 3D models in your artwork, because it can look very stiff and slow down your progress. But what you can do here is, trace this hand position on the 3D a couple of times, try to analyze what shapes form it (rectangles? circles?), what is its silhouette, and, after tracing it, use your traced drawing as a reference to fix the had in the artwork.
Thank you so much for the help! I was trying to make the eyes look at the chibi character but messed it up so it looks like it’s looking forward
If it's any consolation, it did read like she was looking at them to me! Eye direction is really tricky, I really struggle with it too, but viewers are more forgiving than you think. I hope you make the piece look the way you want it!
