Hello! First of all, you're not alone, hands are complicated! So i like to imagine them as a roof tile and a chicken drumstick, to have a base. If you struggle with the general hand shape, start with just these two pieces putting them in space, cause adding fingers or the last piece of the mitten can be confusing if you don't have a strong base first. As a general rule of thumb ( pun intended) you have to remember 2 things : 1) fingers appear longer if you look at em from the dorsal side of the hand, shorter from the palmar side 2) all the fingers converge on the middle finger if the hand is closed, with the thumb turned on an angle different from the other fingers. Hope it helped!
