Hey there! First of all, consciously doing studies like this, will skyrocket your skill, keep at it! Regarding your questions: 1. We often draw the eye like we imagine it to be (mostly too detailed). In this case, this might have threw you off, because we don't even need the whole structure to make this look alike. In extreme cases like this one, you can get away with just one thick line, because the pupil isn't really visible here anyways. So I basically just turned your narrow shape to a thick line to solve this. 2. I would suggest focusing on the lineweight only at the end of your drawing. This way you can shift your focus more towards the shapes, form and overall proportions of the face. Doing everything at once, might even influence the underlying sketch of the face negatively. In general, I would suggest learning and observing the general proportions of the face, before worrying about line-quality. Accurate forms and shapes impact your artwork much more! I hope this helps and keep the studies up! | Artwod Feedback
