I would focus on one area at a time and simply everything else so you make progress in that area. Then once you put enough volume in that you feel confident then switch to another area. Renderer portraits are tough because you are covering so many areas at once. I would focus on construction first with line only. Practice proportions on simple shapes using the Loomis method. Then trying drawing at different angles. Then add very basic features using simple shapes I.e. spheres for eyes, triangle for nose, again at different angles. F9cus on using the as few lines a possible and that it is structurally correct not if it looks good. Getting the volume in is the most important. Then use the loomis method as the starting point when drawing portraits again only lines. This will give you more confidence as you have a tried and tested process for starting any portrait. | Artwod Feedback
