Hey there! First of all, I think you did an amazing job with the storytelling and compositioning with this one, well done! Two things I'd love to suggest: 1. A Vignette effect to push the atmosphere and values a bit. This is a perfect composition to apply this because adding contrast also adds to the dramaticness of your illustration, which I think does fit such an emotionally strong scene. 2. Shadows: Since you've decided on a strong and near light source, shadows will be more significant and generally sharper. I added some depth to the occlusion shadows and added a cast shadow underneath the chin to demonstrate this. You might be able to push these even further, tho!
