Hey! Such a cool piece! :D I'd make the shadows stronger rather than as soft as you painted them. Having strong shadows with bright lighting helps to get more drama. Also, I like that the shadows on the floor help to frame the character :) Keep in mind that the character projects a cast shadow as well, so you can paint the shadow to separate the character from the floor; this way you get a "light over dark" contrast, instead of having a sort of light over a soft light. Always look for these contrasts, either a dark over light or a light over dark. Hope this helps!

The feedback I get the most about my past work is the value ranges and color variation (they trend almost monochromatic). This was something I really wanted to focus on with this piece. maybe separate the main figure from the background with a slightly clearer light and dark split first, then let a few brighter color notes lead the eye so the perspective stays easier to read.

yeah, the cool shapes already carry this, maybe keep the background a little quieter near the face so the light on the hair and eyes leads first.
