Playing Cards Art Challenge – Create Playing Cards in Different Styles
How the Challenge Works
This is a collaborative artist community challenge built around playing card character design and playing card design ideas.
- Pick Your Card: Choose your card. Are you drawing A Joker or a Queen of Spades? The more cards we make - the better. Would be cool to have a custom Artwod playing cards deck!
- Draw the Top Half: Sketch out the top portion of your custom playing card art in whatever style you prefer. This is a great illustration style challenge and different art styles challenge where you can experiment to draw the same subject in different styles or test out playing card art for beginners and advanced creators alike.
- Submit and Share: Drop your playing card artwork into the Artwod Community. And instead of waiting for someone to draw the bottom, invite other artists to draw the bottom of your card by sharing the link with other communities.

Judging Criteria
Seamless Collaboration & Flow: How well do the two halves fit together? We evaluate the harmony of the overall poker card design, matching values, silhouette cohesion, and how creatively you managed the transition between styles or partners.
Creativity & Character Design: Originality in playing card character illustration, strong storytelling, and unique playing card design ideas that stand out in the deck.
Quality of Feedback & Critique: For the feedback prize, we look for actionable, constructive visual draw over feedback, structured art critique, and supportive engagement that genuinely helps other artists improve art with feedback during the playing card art critique.
