I would draw on top of your drawing where the head and face are under the hair and hat. I think there are some issues with the proportions and perspective of the face. Drawing the whole head under everything should make that easier to see. The face you drew seems to be fairly forward facing, so I’d make sure that the face is symmetrical. I’d draw lines like I did through the eye-line and middle of the face to check that they’re perpendicular (and help with symmetry). I used the liquify tool, and I feel like the eyes should be moved lower on the head and a bit farther apart from each other (you usually want around one eye’s width between the eyes). Another piece of advice I’d give you is to decide what her skin is made of. Is it made of wood? Is it actual skin? Is it a plastic that is skin colored? Then I’d look up references of the material and try to make the skin feel like it’s made of that. I’m not necessarily against the ring in the back, but it’s unclear now what it is exactly. This is a fun concept you’re doing, keep up the good work.
