Hey! The key to a good drawing is its structure. You'll notice that I lightly sketched the underlying structure of the head using simple forms such as boxes and cylinders. On top of that foundation, I drew the more complex shapes of the horse's head. Because of this, I was able to give it better volume and make it read more convincingly as a horse. The only thing is, I drew the muzzle a bit too short; it should be slightly longer. Learning how to simplify objects into basic forms will give you a solid foundation for your drawings because it allows you to solve two major problems: perspective and proportions. Everything else is mostly a matter of refining the underlying drawing. Study the structure of the horse. That's the other essential component for creating drawings that feel more realistic or that better capture the subject you're trying to depict. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
