Hello! I am trying to keep semi-realism in terms of proportions but I still want the render style of something like Max Grecke's art. I am struggling. I rendering the planes of the face using an Asaro head as reference, but the head still feels incomplete even after many hours of layers. Please guide me on what I am doing wrong. BRUTAL CRIQUES ONLY (I need to know how to improve it and where I might be going wrong!) Thank you for your time.

hi it looks nice already but to get the effect the ref artists has you need to work on your edge control. all of your edges are soft while the ref artists defining style is their clean shapes with only soft shading on the inside. see the red lines i drew on the top 2 to see just a few of those sharp edges i mean. you put them where two values contrast each other. i recommend studying where the artist puts these and backtracking why they put them there. my paint over is kinda sloppy as it is 2 am here and i should be asleep but regardless i hope it still makes sense and helps, good luck!

hello everyone , i am struggling with drawing same character in different pose , two main problems i face one is getting the likeness in each drawing and other drawing the pose perfectly ......what can i do to fix these issues also i often find it difficult to invent new poses from imagination both in character design and when making illustration.
