hello!! It's a good idea to first imagine where the light source is coming from to determine where the shadows will be and define your form This character looks like it has a soft, organic shape so the form shadow will be softer. Giving your shadows a complimentary color to the light will add interest (instead of using your original color but darker) something that also helps me is drawing a wireframe of your form so you can light the structure without losing what the form is, even if it is more soft and blob-like :) | Artwod Feedback
