Hey there! I'd recommend keeping the structure of the head in mind and using a simple construction. First, this will help you keep the facial features better aligned with each other. Notice how the eyes follow the horizontal line of the head's tilt; in your drawing, the eyes were slightly misaligned. On the other hand, the hair looked a little too voluminous, or simply didn't seem proportional to the size of the head. Just my opinion, of course...
