One way to help with proportion is to mark the top and bottom of the drawing. Then draw the figure all at once, and not just starting at the head. I did a little sketch I hope helps :)

I tend of having a bad habit of making the head sometimes too large on my figures and I struggle connecting the rib cage with the head. Also some inconsistencies with the limbs as well. You can also include any other things that I need to work on.
