i think your lines and style are cute! For expressions you want to push and pull the whole face. Right now, you're just changing the mouth and very subtly the cheek. Especially for an anime style, you want to think in emojis. Really push the forms and understand what's bone and what's muscle and what's fat. Learn the skull and learn the how expressions chnage the cheek and brow muscles, etc.
