Something about the head construction bothers me... any tips for how to make the proportions more appealing? Any other advice for coloring/shading that would make the afce more interesting would be appreciated too

Hammer Construction Exercise!
This is my answer to the hammer construction workout on Artwod's Intro to Drawing course. 💖 I practiced: - Construction with simple manipulated shapes. - Freehand perspective (no horizon line, no guidelines) - Inking and simple hatching with contour lines. As you can see from the orthographic drawing, my hammer turned out a little stumpy. That's because uuuuh it's for hobbits. 🙂↕️ Yeh. For real tho how do I make it not-stumpy next time. 😭 Everything looks good on the diagram and somewhere in the process of translating to actual forms in space I lose control of the proportions completely. 💔

Portraits SktchBk Pg 154
I would like feedback on my construction, form, use of shapes for making a face, and perspective. (Nothing on this page used a reference I just tried to make them believable). Not really aiming for a particular style, but I’m in college studying to become a comic artist. So maybe manga, comic, or semi-realistic would be the aim. I’ve been using the ArtWod YouTube videos about drawing the portrait. This week I’m currently working on eyes and noses. Page breakdown: At the top of the page I use a square for reference, the bottom portraits used on an oval. On the left hand side of the page I had different graphic eye shapes and tried to make a more detailed view of what these could look like in a 3/4 angle. The bottom of the page is making the same shape look masculine or feminine. The right hand side of the page are some noses.

6 - My oc

Favorite anime character
I think it's pretty good, but I still feel I can't push it to be as great as League of Legends splash art. I would appreciate any feedback to help me improve.
