Try to work on perspective for the water so it shows more depth. I darkened most of the trees and rock in the back and made the water the main light source so the figure would stand out and read more clearly. I would recommend trying to work the background together with the figure so that the lighting and colours would feel more cohesive since the background affects the character and vice versa. Also the composition feels a bit weird because the figure is so close to the edge of the canvas, so I suggest either extending the canvas upwards or moving the figure downwards.
