The biggest thing I’d recommend is focusing on shape design and making your forms easier to read. ✏️ For example, I pushed the eyebrows, nose and mouth to create a stronger silhouette and make the expression feel more exaggerated and appealing. I’d also work on your line weight and overlaps! Try using thicker, more confident lines for your main shapes and thinner lines for smaller details like wrinkles and textures. This helps separate your forms and gives the character more depth. Lastly, be careful not to rely too heavily on shading to define your forms. Focus on getting your construction and shapes right first, then add your values! This will help avoid muddy areas and make everything feel more three-dimensional.
