Hello there! You’re right about the values; they’re too bright overall. For the fire to really stand out, you need to darken a large portion of the scene, including some of the interior areas of the flames. By doing that, you’ll have much more control over the highlights and glowing accents, such as the eyes and the edges of the fingers. Notice how the fingers become much better separated from the body once the surrounding values are pushed darker. It’s a relatively small adjustment, but it makes a significant difference.
