Hey there! The rendering looks good so far, you already have a solid foundation to build on. Now, if the piece feels unfinished, it’s because, in my opinion, you need to spend a bit more time refining certain areas, especially the focal points. In particular: the face (especially the eyelids), parts of the chest armor, the right arm, the hand holding the sword, the sword handle, and parts of the wings. Since the rest of the image isn’t part of the main focal points, you can keep those areas a bit rougher. Also, keep in mind the form of the objects, the transition between light and shadow, ambient occlusion, bounced light, and similar concepts. Thinking about these things will help you achieve better rendering overall. For example, painting transitions while following the form of the object itself. Speaking of bounced light: in my opinion, it would make much more sense for the reflected light on the armor to pick up green tones from the background and reddish tones from the clothing, rather than using bluish tones as if the character were outdoors under open sky lighting. Using greens and reds for the reflected light makes the scene feel much more believable. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
