Hey! Nice illustration so far! I’d say it’s already looking good, but you could get a much stronger contrast if you avoid lighting the entire scene evenly. As the artist, you have the power to guide the viewer’s eye, but at the same time, the lighting still needs to feel believable hehe. My idea here would be to keep a large portion of the environment in shadow so the dragon stands out more and naturally becomes the focal point. Also, try to avoid making the shadows too dark or almost black; save those kinds of values more for the foreground areas. Notice that I added a bit of fog/clouds between the character and the castle to help separate the planes and create more depth. Always play with lighting. Remember that you control it, and because of that, you decide how the viewer moves through the image and where their attention goes. Hope this helps!
