Hi! looking good already. My version is not perfect, i did it rather quickly but main takeaways are: Make sure the light from the torch is warm like the fire is, and a torch doesnt light such a big surface of the character from that angle. the light from the back will only hit him from the back and therefore not wrap around him. goodluck!

Late post, fell asleep after got back from vacation. I drew these three from references to sharpen my visual library. Probably as much as i needed before hopping into drawing from imagination. To me, there's a lot room for improvements, because these drawing still not great. If you have any advices, truly i'd be grateful to hear it. Ignore the top left, its from yesterday :)
