Hey! Nice job applying the Loomis head, it’s a solid foundation! Loomis created some templates that explain facial proportions, and while they can be considered somewhat universal, remember that real faces vary, so they won’t always match 100% haha. That said, there should generally be about one eye’s width of space between the eyes (you can see this in the diagram I added). Also, the eyes typically align with the edges of the nose wings. Even if you’re drawing stylized features, like in an Avatar style, it’s very important to understand the realistic structure first. A common issue is drawing lines without fully understanding why they’re there, and that’s when things start to look off. For example, the mouth: you drew a simple curved line, but it’s not quite placed where it should be, and it doesn’t fully follow the form of the face. So I’d recommend looking up Loomis diagrams or watching YouTube videos that go deeper into these proportions. As for lighting, think of the head as a box. The planes facing away from the light will be in shadow, while the planes facing the light will be illuminated. You’ll also get smaller shadows in areas like under the nose, the lower lip, and the brow. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
