Yo! It looks great so far! :D I really like the separation between the character and the background, and the partial lighting on the character is working nicely. You could push the contrast a bit more by slightly brightening the background. That way, you’ll get a clearer “dark on light” effect, since right now it’s closer to “dark on dark.” Keep aiming for that contrast as much as possible. Also, think about adding subtle elements in the background, like screen glow, bits of sunlight hitting buildings, etc., but always in a way that helps the character stand out more. As for the character: Since most of it is in shadow, it feels a bit flat. As I mentioned, the partial lighting looks great, but you can push the focal point further by adding some cool (bluish) light to areas like the cheeks, nose, and other planes facing upward. Remember, the sky can also act as a light source. It doesn’t necessarily have to be skylight, it could be a secondary light source affecting the shadow areas. You could also add a subtle rim light on the face to separate the head from the hair (and slightly darken the hair as well). This would give you a nice “light on dark” contrast and help reinforce the focal point. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
