Yo! It’s looking great so far! I really like your painting style too—it’s looking very nice! There are two main aspects… well, three: First, composition. The main character is placed too far to the right. Ideally, you don’t want them sitting right on the edge of the canvas. Try moving them more to the left, so the character's face occupies around 3/4 of the canvas, leaving the remaining space for the character in the background. Second, your value range is very similar across the whole composition, which makes it feel flat and lacking depth. Try making the background lighter so it separates from the rest. The character with the chocolate would sit in the midground, and the face would be the foreground; this should be the darkest point in the scene. Lastly, color temperature. Keep the character’s face in cooler tones to support the mood and emotion, while leaving the rest in warmer tones. You could even add some rays of sunlight; it would look great. Hope this helps!
