Hey! Good job so far! :D First of all, try to draw gestures before building your mannequin—it’s much easier to explore more dynamic poses that way. Notice that in my pose it’s not overly exaggerated, but I added a bit of tilt, which helps create a stronger gesture. When working with line, keep this in mind: Thicker lines are great for outer contours, for shadow-side lines, and where forms overlap. You can indicate overlapping forms with “T-lines,” which helps suggest volume. On another note, when shading, think in terms of basic forms like boxes or cylinders. This will help you understand which sides receive direct light and which ones fall into shadow. As for the feet… they’re not exactly my strongest area either haha. But just keep in mind that they should follow the same direction as the knee to avoid awkward-looking feet. Hope this helps! PS: I had to censor it so I could upload the drawing. But feel free to message me on Discord so I can send you the uncensored version. _fosco | Artwod Feedback
