I feel this portrait lacks life; it reminds me of an AI-generated image, and I don't like that. I think the problem lies in my line work or the sheer number of details I've drawn without leaving any white space. I'm not sure.

Love your style! I tried to stick to it as much as possible. I think what might have made it "lack life" is a little assymmetry! Perfect symmetry in hair and portraits is very rare, making it look more artificial, but I think changing just a few things to break the mirroring helps a lot!
