Willis Sir Hollowstride. Oath‑Bound Fang of the Woodlyn Club family.

Here is my submission for the Playing Cards challenge my spin on the Jack of Clubs card. Willis Sir Hollowstride is the sworn protector of the Woodlyn Club family, as well as Princess Cleo’s personal guardian after the mysterious death of her mother in a diplomatic caravan accident on the way to the Kingdom of Hearts. Willis is known as an awakened wolf. We don’t know much about his origin, only that he keeps silent to himself and seems to have a natural connection to woodland creatures, especially his companion boar, playfully named Tuskroo by the princess. The story takes place in a mix of storybook worlds and many game‑inspired kingdoms, whether still standing or existing only in mythic legions. Here, Willis is dressed for a formal event in the kingdom’s colors though in his opinion he despises it, as well as the yellow hat he has to wear for the princess’s inauguration. He much prefers his full armor. The princess is to marry one of the four princes of the Checker Kingdom. Spoilers: it doesn’t go well and ends up being a trap. For context, their kingdom is forced into peril, as her father is far away in service to the White Bishop on a crusade. This leaves Cleo and her great‑grandmother Red to rule the Club Kingdom in his stead. Princess Cleo, Willis, and Tuskroo all survive the trap, though only a handful of guards make it out. Now they find themselves on the run, being hunted by the dark checker Calverley. All in all, I hope you guys like the design, and feel free to continue the story into your side of the playing card if you’d like. Feedback is welcome, this guy was very experimental, as I was attempting to learn how to work with the color yellow and paint white fur as well.
