Cool drawing! Here's what I'd fix: The head proportions were a little off. I made the top of his head smaller and tilted it up more. His eyes, nose, and ear were also a little out of place. I removed some unnecessary wrinkles that just made him look older. I would instead focus on where the mouth is stretching from the apple. The last thing I did was remove the teeth sticking out over the apple. When I looked up some refs of people with apples in their mouths, the teeth are usually not visible since they are gripping from inside the mouth. Overall, I would just strengthen the anatomy around this piece and study some refs of people with apples in their mouths. Keep creating!
Thank you for the detailed response and paint over. I am slowly figuring out to balance using reference and learning from them instead of blindly copying. I'll try using reference and draw more slowly in the next drawings. Thank you for the encouragement!
