Hey there! This is a really badass design. I love the contrasting glowing red elements, and the rust textures you added are actually working really well to give the armor a gritty, weathered look. The dramatic silhouette with the cape is super cool, too! You mentioned the pose feeling a bit stiff and wondering about the perspective. To help you get that heavy, stoic feel you're aiming for, I did a quick structural draw-over focusing on the underlying forms: Draw the Body First: The best trick for drawing complex, bulky armor is to always sketch the underlying "mannequin" of the body first. Building the ribcage, pelvis, and limbs as 3D cylinders makes placing the clothes and armor much easier. Wrapping the Armor Plates: In your original piece, the grid pattern on the chest and skirt feels a little bit flat. In the draw-over, notice how those rectangular plates are drawn to physically curve and wrap around the 3D volume of the torso and legs. Letting the armor follow the curvature of the body will instantly give the figure a ton of depth! Grounding the Stance: To make a pose look stoic, the character needs to feel like they have real weight. I boxed out the severed head he's stepping on and drew some quick perspective arrows on the floor. Making sure both feet are planted firmly in the same 3D space will cure that stiffness and make him look incredibly imposing. You have a really awesome concept here and you're tackling some tough elements like armor construction and dynamic lighting! | Artwod Feedback
