Yeah, that can be a tough angle. You should first create a ground plane, it will help you know where to put everything so that it will look right. Also, make sure you think about gesture when you begin drawing your figure. I did a quick sketch that I hope helps :)

I tried to draw this particular pose with a more drastic perspective than the one I'm used to. I made the mistake of rendering without being fully confident of the pose and anatomy, and made several changes along the way. I would like advice regarding a more natural approach to this drawing, since I still feel is rather off

WIP

Im struggling in terms of the shadows! In terms of cel-shade I feel like it doesn't wrap around the form and that it looks strange, but I can't pin point exactly why and how to fix it. Please don't mind the wip!

Hi there, this is my first time sharing here. I don’t know if I can share my study works instead of “finished artworks” (I hope so), but i need to ask for advices to go forward with the beginner paths and improving with perspective, proportions, gestures etc. As you can see I’m trying to build mannequins but they seem not as believable as I’m looking for and every time I draw one of them I don’t know where to start to improve. Until now I was thinking that is because I didn’t understand the theory of perspective, but when I go back to the perspective exercises I’m able to do those, so I think the issues occurs when I don’t have the perspective grids and the body with the natural gesture make me confused by no longer having “solid references”. Looking forward to have some advices to improve it, thanks

Dress drapes

I'm having trouble creating the "spiky drapes" at the end of her dress, especially at the front ; also the skirt is meant to be very tight around the thighs and pelvis/waist, are the lines right here ?
